Magritte line

Renè Magritte (1898-1967) was a Belgian painter. Together with Paul Delvaux he is considered the greatest painter of surrealism in BelgiumAfter initial proximity to Cubism and futurism, his style centered on a very accurate depiction technique based on trompe l’oeil, like Salvador Dalì and Delvaux, but without resorting to the paranoid type of symbology of the first or of the erotic-ancientizing type of the second.

But René Magritte, also called le saboteur tranquille, that is the silent disturber, due to his ability to insinuate doubts about the real through the representation of the real itself, does not approach the real to interpret it, nor to portray it, but to show its indefinable mystery. The intention of his work is to allude to the whole as a mystery and not to define it.

Figurine Abstract Statue Surreal Ucceilo Garden Of Treats Bosch Parastone

PARASTONE-BANNER

Bosch line

Hieronymus Bosch, Flemish painter, was born in Hertogenbosch, Holland (1453-1516).

Belonging to a family of painters, he was most likely educated in the workshop of his father Anthonius, specialized in frescoes, gilding of wooden statues and in the production of sacred furnishings for the city cathedral.

An artist of great talent, he gave rise to a painting with a subject that is often difficult to decipher, symbolic or allegorical, but full of charm and linked to both noble and popular sources, which had extraordinary fortune throughout the sixteenth century influencing many European artists.

His works are full of grotesque, bizarre and monstrous figures, which arouse amazement and make us reflect on the dark and irrational sides of life.

Bird with helmet

It shows one of the demonic hybrids created by the Bosch painting.
This helmeted bird monster carries in its beak a box of pencils and an inkwell, into which the nun, rotting in a pig, is dipping her quill.
The Garden of Earthly Delights is an oil on panel triptych (220 × 389 cm), dating from around 1480-1490 and kept in the Prado Museum in Madrid.

Of uncertain date, it is considered the masterpiece and the most ambitious work of the artist. In no other work did Bosch reach such a level of complexity, both in symbolic meanings and in vivid display imagination. The work depicts numerous biblical scenes and is probably intended to describe the history of humanity through medieval Christian doctrine

It is made up of a central panel of an almost square shape to which two rectangular wings are placed next to it that can be closed on it; when folded, they show a representation of the Earth during Creation. The three scenes of the open triptych are probably to be analyzed in chronological order from left to right, although there is no certainty of this reading. The left panel represents God as the pivot of the meeting between Adam and Eva; the central one is a vast fantastic view of nude figures, imaginary animals, large fruit and rock formations; the one on the right is instead a vision of Hell and represents the torments of damnation.

Of uncertain date, it is considered the masterpiece and the most ambitious work of the artist. In no other work did Bosch reach such a level of complexity, both in symbolic meanings and in vivid display imagination. The work depicts numerous biblical scenes and is probably intended to describe the history of humanity through medieval Christian doctrine  It is made up of a central panel of an almost square shape to which two rectangular wings are placed next to it that can be closed on it; when folded, they show a representation of the Earth during Creation. The three scenes of the open triptych are probably to be analyzed in chronological order from left to right, although there is no certainty of this reading. The left panel represents God as the pivot of the meeting between Adam and Eva;

Man with bowler hat and dove

The man with a bowler hat (1964, oil on canvas, 65 x 50 cm) is a surrealist painting by René Magritte. It shows a man wearing a business suit and a bowler hat with his face hidden by a white dove.

Stunning caricature of this black and white convertible car that takes the newlyweds on their honeymoon. You can appreciate floral decorations everywhere and the classic milk and old shoes tied with ropes to the rear bumper and the inevitable “Just married” sign. The spouses, visibly moved, have the characteristics of the characters of Forchino with their eyes popping out of their sockets. On the back seat are the suitcases. The details of the car are incredible as only Forchino can do.  The museum’s collection of images under the name “Mouseion” is an important part of the collection.
