The next step is cutting the glass for engraving. This is performed by an expert engraver using a lathe to which sandstone wheels of different shapes and sizes are applied according to the type of processing.
Once the etching phase is finished, we move on to silvering, a process by which the glass becomes a mirror.
Last phase of processing and assembly, where the artistic elements in Murano glass are assembled such as rosettes, twisted canes, double flowers etc.
In addition to engraving there is another glass decoration technique called èglomisè.
In this case, the glass master, thanks to the use of a particular brush, will decorate the glass. The various elements will then be placed in a particular oven which will set the color.
