Magritte line

Renè Magritte (1898-1967) was a Belgian painter. Together with Paul Delvaux he is considered the greatest painter of surrealism in BelgiumAfter initial proximity to Cubism and futurism, his style centered on a very accurate depiction technique based on trompe l’oeil, like Salvador Dalì and Delvaux, but without resorting to the paranoid type of symbology of the first or of the erotic-ancientizing type of the second.

But René Magritte, also called le saboteur tranquille, that is the silent disturber, due to his ability to insinuate doubts about the real through the representation of the real itself, does not approach the real to interpret it, nor to portray it, but to show its indefinable mystery. The intention of his work is to allude to the whole as a mystery and not to define it.
